Christine's Testimony

"When cancer or some other life-threatening illness strikes a family, you feel like you have fallen off the world and have trouble climbing back.  Thank you for giving us bright spots to keep us motivated to continue to climb."

Christine, mother of Cameron, cancer

Angela's Testimony

"Emily said to me last night 'Mommy, isn't it great how much Rob loves us?'  It was nice to see all the kids out there running around and just being kids.  Emily's favorite thing was the titanic slide.  She is not allowed to run around and play on the playground at school, so it was a great change for her."

Angela, mother of Emily, cancer

Cathy's Testimony

"Eric has been looking forward to the Day of Hope for months! And what a day it was!  I don't think I have seen him do so much physical activity in what seems forever.  He was so encouraged that he made it all the way up the climbing wall.  On the way home he said 'This was the best day of my life!'  What a blessing!"

Cathy, mother or Eric, cancer

Mike and Cecilia's Testimony

"Thanks to everyone that has made special events for our children possible. Thank you for being so good to Michael and us.  We appreciate everything you do. No one would ever realize how difficult our lives have been.  We would not have made it without knowing you.  You are the BEST."

Mike and Cecilia, parents of Michael, cancer

Brandi's Testimony

"This year we celebrated one year that Kloe has been in remission.  Over the past two years we have witnessed our little princess overcome her own hurdles.  As a parent of a 'sick' child, it brought me great joy to know she can do things that are 'against the odds!'  You have helped us realize that.   Thank you for the opportunity to see our princess grow and become healthy."

Brandi, mother of Kloe, cancer

Sara's Testimony

"At the Day of Hope, my sister was given the opportunity to enjoy life as it should be enjoyed... with fun!

"My sister is very often the brunt of stares and bad jokes, as people can be so cruel.   It is nice to be around people who make her feel just like a kid, who are able to look past the outside and see what a wonderful person she is on the inside!  That is a gift I cannot put into words.   Thank you."

Sara, sister of Mandi, critcally ill

A letter from a mother

"When I think of HopeKids, WOW!! It brings tears to my eyes.

"Rob, I have never known anyone quite like you and your family. You bring these children into your life and into your heart. You make everything you do personal. You care so much about these kids and this organization. You don't focus on only one thing that a child wishes for, but rather everything that these kids wish for. You get involved in their life, their dreams, their treatments and their family.

"I believe that HopeKids was a vital part in Emily's relapse treatment. No matter how horrible she felt or how tired she was, she would push herself to do the HopeKids events and activities. It helped her to stay active. She didn't have time to lay around and think about how sick she felt or what was going to happen to her. She had the will to fight and survive.

"You and HopeKids have been the best thing that has happened to us since Emily's diagnosis. From the very first moment we met I could tell how much Emily loved you and your family. As well as how much you loved her."
